Daan van Kampenhout is a highly regarded shamanic practitioner and systemic constellator who has a great international reputation. His books, Images of the Soul and The Tears of the Ancestors, are highly respected contributions to the field of Systemic Constellation Work.

We are delighted that Daan has agreed to return to London once more to offer the CSC International Guest Workshop in November 2018.

Daan is excited to be bringing his new teaching on this important subject to Britain. He says:

In systemic work, we find ourselves face to face with many kinds of variations of victim-perpetrator dynamics. In each victim-perpetrator dynamic, there is a form of guilt involved.

However, when we pay close attention to our clients’ stories, we find that in most cases there is an implicit or explicit avoidance or denial of guilt. It is usually ‘the other’ who is the bad one, the guilty one, the one who doesn’t want to speak anymore, it usually is the other who is the aggressor, the thief, the unfair one, the disloyal one or the one who refuses to cooperate. The sense of guilt is one of the most uncomfortable emotions to handle.

In these two days, we will look at various aspects of victim-perpetrators dynamics and guilt. Before the training, all participants will be invited to send in their cases concerning victim-perpetrator dynamics, and this will provide input for constellations, rituals and exercises.

The work we do will help us to gently confront and look at our own (conscious and unconscious, individual and collective) identifications with various roles, and make us more aware how we are dealing with guilt in our own life. We will become more aware how the positions we have taken have an influence on how we perceive our clients.”

…in opening a discussion of the tribal soul and related dynamics, he adds a dimension to the constellation work which is valuable and important for practitioners to consider, even if a shamanic approach is not their orientation.

Richard Wallstein

…Daan presents his work with a voice that gently allows not only a walk through various historical conflicts which have been crystallised within our image of who was the perpetrator and who was the victim, but he offers us a mirror as well. In quiet, we see our tribe, our family and ourselves in a new light.
