Addressing your fears for the future

with Bertold Ulsamer

We are delighted to welcome back Bertold Ulsamer for this new workshop  ‘Addressing your Fears for the Future’.

As we enter 2023 many people are expressing anxieties and fears related to societal and global crises and issues. Be this the trauma and upheaval from wars, the polarisation in our societies, the cost of living crises or continued impact of the pandemic, to name but a few.  We might or might not yet know how the changes will affect us, but what so many of us have in common is a response of dread, anxiety, helplessness and stress. Fear is a natural response and consequence. The mind starts brooding and looking for solutions, but our thoughts do not bring relief and our feelings paralyze and depress us.

This workshop is designed to help you get out of this vicious cycle. We cannot change reality on a large scale, if at all, but we can find our vitality, serenity and courage again. This is always possible for us.

Drawing on his 45 years of practice, Bertold brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and and insightfulness to provide practical support in reducing your anxieties and fears.

The workshop is offered as a bundle of two sessions which will take place on two consecutive Tuesdays (21st & 28th of February 2023).

An additional third session on 7th March 2023 is dedicated to therapists/coaches/ professionals who work in the field of helping and would like to learn how to work with their clients on these issues.

The sessions are for anyone who would like to be supported with practical ways on addressing anxieties and fear of the future. It aims to reach a wide audience and does not require any pre-knowledge or engagement with our Centre.

The additional session is for professionals working as coaches, therapists or in other ways with clients in the healing arts.

What will your learn?

The two sessions will cover the following topics and include experiential learning exercises in smaller groups.

  • Physical roots of fear and how to deal with it them
  • Using the unconscious to distance yourself from your anxiety
  • Repeating old fears: transforming the intergenerational causes of your anxiety
  • Mental strategies to cope with fear
  • Mentally walk through the disaster – and beyond it
  • Becoming and passing – coming to peace with existence as a human being
  • Arriving in the moment free of fear
  • Additional session for therapists/coaches/professionals in the field of helping

There will be experiential exercises and working in small groups, as being part of a community is one of the great tools against fear! And there will be time to ask questions about what you experienced. The exercises have a background in trauma therapy (Somatic Experiencing), hypnotherapy, family constellations, behavioural therapy, existential therapy and meditation. Bertold will draw on his 45 years of experience as a therapist.

Additional session for coaches, therapists etc

If you are a coach, therapist, consultant, body worker or a professional who supports other people in overcoming their fears, then Bertold is offering this special additional session for you. During this session, Bertold will explore in more depth the topics covered in sessions one and two with the intention of helping you confidently use the methods he has used when dealing with clients. He will expand more about the background of each area and highlight what is important. You will also have the opportunity to ask him any questions you may have.
